As we all know, after Elon Musk bought the twitter about a year ago. He is busy now a days in rebranding it X. Few days back a big flashing X sign was put up on the twitter headquarters building in the San Francisco, California, United States.
The X sign was very big in size, had very bright lights which continuously switched on and off. People nearby definitely got disturbed by those continuous strobes of lights coming their way. From the look of it, they definitely used some very bright SMD lights on the sign.
Anyways, the city authorities received total 24 complaints from people in buildings around twitter headquarter building, specially those in the direct line of sight of the sign. This not only resulted in removal of sign but also it resulted in heavy fine of $4447 USD, which was paid by the landlord of the building, not the twitter.
Landlord of twitter headquarter building already remained involved in a lawsuit against the twitter company, for not paying the rent of the building. On top of it, he had to pay the fine of $4447 USD for a mistake done by twitter.
All the fees in the fine were related to building code enforcement departments, so that is why, they had to be paid by the owner of building, not the owner of company residing in it. To be exact Department of Building Inspection enforcement fee was $2106 USD, Planning Department enforcement fee was $1580 USD and finally $761 USD was building permit to remove the sign.
Elon Musk and the twitter team is pushing hard to rebrand the twitter to X social media platform these days.
